The Kit Carson Statue in Kit Carson Park is considered
one of the finest equestrian works in North America. A unique feature
of the statue is that August Luckeman sculpted Kit Carson's likeness,
whereas Frederick Roth sculpted the horse.
The statue was dedicated in June 1913.
