The Trinidad Art League (TAL) operates the co-op Corazon Gallery with shows throughout the year. 719-846-0207. See Events.


The Trinidad Arts and Cultural Advisory Commission (TACAC) is dedicated to enhancing and promoting all aspects of Trinidad’s art community including literature, music, and the functional and fine arts. The commission funds performances, awards grants to community projects in the arts, and undertakes the acquisition of public sculptures. 719-846-2115.


The Trinidad Area Arts Council (TAAC) cooperates with other local groups to create, sponsor, promote, and stage cultural activities in all the arts—visual, performing, and literary.

TAAC

  • sponsors the Children’s Summer Arts and Theatre Programs.

  • coordinates the Art in the Schools Program, each year providing more than 1,000 student hours of art instruction by local artists in Trinidad schools.
    In conjunction with the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs Theatreworks, presents Shakespeare performances every summer.

  • cosponsors with Trinidad State Junior College a program featuring Trinidad area K-12 poetry, short stories, and essays in a public event.

  • coordinates the Arts and Crafts Fair at the Trinidaddio Blues Fest every August.

  • works under its Opportunity Programs to stage performances by various individuals and groups.

  • sponsors the Community Band and Community Chorale.

TAAC also operates the black box Loft Theater, Atrium Gallery and Artists Studios, Pottery Studio, and First Street Gallery, all located on the third floor of the A.R. Mitchell Memorial Museum. 719-846-1441. trinidadarts.org
