Regulary scheduled City Council Meetings occur the 1st & 3rd Tuesdays monthly at 7:00 p.m. within the Council Chambers, 3rd Floor of the City Hall, located at 135 N Animas Street.

On the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays monthly, there are regularly scheduled Council work-sessions at 1:30 p.m. where upcoming agenda items are discussed, and City committees might make a presentation, but no action is taken.

If you would like to speak at a City Council meeting, you can sign-in prior to the start of the meeting and will be given 3 minutes to present an issue.  If you need more time, and you want to be placed on the agenda, one week's notice is appreciated. Please schedule this with the City Clerk by calling 719-846-9843 X135.

As these are public meetings, anyone is welcome to attend. 

City Council acts as the final authority for many land-use and development related issues; and these type of applications are first processed through staff and the Planning Commission.

Regularly scheduled Planning, Zoning & Variance Commission hearings occur the 2nd Tuesday monthly, at 5:30 p.m. within the Council Chambers, 3rd Floor of the City Hall, located at 135 N. Animas Street. 

Items to be presented to the Planning Commission must be submitted to the
Planning Department at least 20 business days prior to the meeting; and before that, a pre-application meeting is required. Please contact the Planing Department by clicking here.
